De-icing salt

Road salt in the classical sense (road salt) is a mined, ground and graded natural material with a sodium chloride content of 98% or more. Due to its chloride content, chloride-sensitive plants are at risk during use. Due to its sodium content, soil salinization is not excluded. It exerts its effect at temperatures from -8 to -10 degrees.

However, its primary advantage for ice melting is that when sprinkled on ice, it exerts its icing effect very quickly, the fastest compared to other solid de-icing materials.
