Hydrated lime

Hydrated lime (powdered lime) is obtained by adding water to unslaked lime. This reaction is extremely violent, accompanied by the formation of high heat.

CaO + H2O -> Ca(OH)2

Lime hydrate is a white or whitish-yellowish powder. Chemical symbol: Ca(OH)22.

The main properties of hydrated lime (grain size, internal chemical composition, moisture content, etc.) are regulated by the MSZ EN 459-1:2011 standard. Hydrated lime is a slaked lime, which is slaked, but still powder, not pulp. Its purity is determined by the degree of burning of the underlying unprecipitated lime. The higher the CaO content of unslaked lime, the higher the Ca(OH)2 content of hydrated lime.2 tartalma.

It is one of today's favorite materials in the construction industry, as it is an excellent companion for premixed bag building materials, such as plaster or masonry mortar. Its reform effect can be felt in that it can be easily added to other water-sensitive materials such as cement.

Thanks to this product, we managed to revolutionize the previous construction industry and create a "ready-mixed" building material that is fast, homogeneous and thus of uniform quality. As a result of ready-mixed plasters, among other things, it becomes possible to avoid making the plaster "fat".

Applications:

  • Building industry, as a binder
  • pH level setting in the industry
  • water softening, process water production
  • industrial neutralization
  • environment protection
